my lovely kuching city is getting maju. yay! i’m so proud of you! 
can’t wait to check out for myself THE SPRING & BOULEVARD in june. (i saw really lovely pics from friends’ blogs…and i hope they are really THAT nice.) i can even just walk to boulevard! lol.
i’m not ketinggalan by the way…i just SUDDENLY feel like bloggin abt it 2day ok…actually, i think i just wanna waste my time so that i don’t have to face my current worst nightmare…project planning coursework. sigh. i really need help la…why am i so extra lazy these few dayssss? maybe i’m just not cut out for this course…i don’t seem to be enjoying ANY of the subjects….HOW? we had to imagine we were civil engineers…then architects…now project managers…next LAWYERS! yerr…and yet some people may not even know the existence of quantity surveyors…sigh…so sad.
i’ll stop being emo now…i must start workin on that &*%$#@ assignment now…

laziness & semester 2.
i can’t believe time flies soooo fast. it feels like only yesterday that i arrived in newcastle…but reality is…it’s been erm already 5 mths! i’m still strugglin my way through the 1st semester…but nooo….tomorrow onwards, i’ll be startin the 2nd semester already! so not lookin forward to it. sigh. the only thing i’m happy about time flying so fast is the fact that JUNE is just months away…meaning home sweet home, here i come! i miss my family, my house, my car, my astro, my streamyx and the most important of all…all those yummy-licious food i can only find in kuching city babeh! ooo so can’t wait to indulge in my fav kolo mee, kueh chap, open air sio bee and my all-time fav…mum’s cookin. weee~ (i’m just so excited about goin back but i just realize that i haven’t even book my flight ticket yet.woops!SHALL do it this week.)
but for the mean time…for the remaining 5 months that i’m still stuck in newcastle…i should really focus on lectures, seminars, courseworks (argghh…they never seem to leave me alone!), EXAMS!, msian society (wow….can’t believe i’m actually mentioning it here…such a dedicated secretary…lol…are you proud of me mr. president?), ooo and of course not forgetting…the one thing i really like about being here…the clubs…;p (why?cos you definitely won’t smell like smoke unlike msian clubs!)
dear semester 2, just please don’t give me TOO much pressure? thanks. 
ahhh….and not forgetting the fact that i’ve been REALLY lazy this whole week. i woke up at 12pm…have my movie-marathon…munching on chips, chocs and cookies (lotssss of em!)…EVERY single day. i need some motivationnnn…any1 please help?

thursday : skint @ liquid
(owh by the way…this only applies to hiphop n r&b music fan!)
reasons to check out digital :
- it may be slightly expensive (5pound for entry & drinks starts from 2pound!) but it’s DEFINITELY worth it!
- play the best hiphop & rnb music.
- huge crowd.
reasons to check out liquid :
- VERY, VERY affordable. (1pound entry & drinks are as cheap as 1.50pound!)
- great music! (mixture of both hiphop/rnb & trance/techno/hse)
- MASSIVE crowd. (i’ve never seen liquid THAT packed!)

he was so young. & hot.
when deidre told me the news…i was too busy dancing that i didn’t bother to get more details. but as soon as i reached home…the 1st thing i saw on yahoo was about his death. so, it IS real.

enchanted & freedom.
i FINALLY watched enchanted! and i’m givin it DOUBLE thumbs up!
for those who know me well enough, you would know that i was NEVER really into fantasy movies (or however u define those type of movies!)…i mean i do watch disney cartoons from time to time…but i don’t go around obsessing over movies like harry potter & lord of the rings & etc. (honestly, i’ve never watched ANY of the series of these 2 movies, SERIOUS. :P )
but after watching the golden compass with my hsemates…i kinda develop a lil interest i guess…and since EVERY1 that have watched enchanted keep on telling me how great the movie was…i just HAD to check it out for myself…and trust me, it was definitely no disappoinment. so for those of you who haven’t watch it yet (but i’m sure most people have anyways!)…i strongly recommend you to go to the movies A.S.A.P. hehe.
i’m also currently so in lurveeee with a track from the OST…jon mclaughlin’s SO CLOSE.
ooo…and i’m finally done with courseworkss! (for the time being that is!) sooooo glad! digital, here we come!

i.need.a.life!
i’ve been deprived of a really FUN night out…it’s been ALMOST 3 weeks since i’ve been out partyin!
this would be my 3rd consecutive weekend in my room, trying to finish up courseworks. so no life right? sigh.
i wanna…no let me rephrase that…i NEED to go out.
now am already trying to decide between sea, beyond or DIGITAL. hehe. (but i really wanna try tues nites in digital…i heard its REALLYYYY good.but the entrance fee is making me have 2nd thoughts about it.hmmm.)
so can’t wait for the 21st!

bartending & i.
i had my 1st taste of being a bar staff today.
it’s a pretty interesting job i must say. i never knew different kinds of beers have different techniques of pouring em! lol. (i shall learn more from daddy dearest since beer is almost like his best friend.) and you only get REALLY busy before the match kicks off AND during half time. the rest of the time, you just hang around getting to know your fellow workmates.
i also finally get to work at the till! (am sure my close friends know how much i’ve always SECRETLY wanted to work as a cashier…i mean for a part-time job of course!)
oooo and not forgetting, the chance to FINALLY set foot at st. james’ park…though…i didn’t get even a GLIMPSE of the match but it doesn’t matter cos i’m not a soccer fan anyways. and i still keep on getting lost around the stadium…i just can’t seem to find my directions…i hope i’ll be able to find my way the next time around…hmmm.
farewell, joanna!
she was the last to join us at the house, yet she’s the 1st to leave.
we may not be THAT close but i will definitely miss the constant hellos around the kitchen as well as her cheery smile.
we threw a mini farewell party for joanna last night before she left for poland this morning. we had crepes, that cheesy puff thingy made by katya, kiwis, cashew nuts and lastly, polish beer. (i don’t really fancy it that much actually, owh well, i’m just not really a beer person! 
) after dinner, we played cards…this game called the president or something…pretty interesting i must say!
unfortunately, i didn’t take any pics of last nite, or any pics with joanna at all.
i just wish her all the best in her future undertakings & see ya in facebook, joanna!

miracle.

these past few days i’ve been hoping for a miracle, wait, i mean SOME miracle :
(i) 1stly, for the completion of chika’s work…i REALLY can’t wait for it to be over…and now i THINK (i hope!) i’m almost done. phew!
(ii) 2ndly, for a job. and guess wad…the Lord finally answered my prayers!
++ i’ll be working only on match days…but owh well…at least SOMETHING right…rather than i keep spending my parents’ hard-earned money. i just hope everything goes well when i start this wed. ++

i miss msian food!
yay. my 1st attempt to cook ayam masak merah succeeded! thanks to the maggi perencah my mum parcelled all the way for me!
++ clockwise : traditionally-cooked (meaning i don’t use a rice cooker!) white rice, cauliflower+carrot with oyster sauce, AYAM MASAK MERAH ++
i know the colour wasn’t exactly RED as shown on the packet…but at least it was edible.
now who says davina can’t cook after all?
i’ve mastered (i think…) tom yam & ayam masak merah…curry still in progress (i still can’t prepare the PERFECT curry!)…next i’m going to attempt rendang & kurma. huhu.
