so we went to watch this movie at the cinema sempena jeffrey’s birthday so if you’re wondering what does football jersey have to do with transformers, i don’t know either. we were just fulfilling the birthday boy’s wishes : to have his birthday theme as football and to accompany him to watch transformers.

hmmm what else. ahhh. been having picnics as our weekly routine now and i’m now getting darker so i shall stop for the mean time. i love being under the sun i do but the aftermath is just not tolerable.

i suddenly feel like eating rojak…
the weather today was FAB! unfortunately, i was stuck indoor, working, serving people who get to enjoy the warm, warm weather. *jealous*

am so in love with floral tulip skirts! how now. i promise myself to start saving money for the rainy days. days when am officially jobless, which are coming pretty, pretty soon. NOOooOooo! but i don’t know if this kinda skirt would be compatible with my oversized bum2, so am gonna try one out first, and if it fits, i will consider, but if not, then i’ll just be sad for the next few days, and then i’ll look on the bright side; “at least i get to save money!” hehe.

“michael scofield” was in habita today! and i served him FOUR times. wootss. btw, in case you don’t know or cos i’ve never mentioned this before, this is the guy from gym who look sebijik like michael scofield ok. true one. no kidding! (but since i don’t have the real guy’s pic, i’ll just have to put scofield’s la k. haha.)

the customer is always right?
ya right!
i really wanna meet the person who created that statement la. they’re NOT always right. most of the time, they’re WRONG, but since we are nice people providing services for these &^%$£*!, we ALWAYS have to PRETEND they’re right. sad huh? i’m a customer too, so i know when i’m right or when i’m wrong. i know i’m right when the person serving me shows muka tak boleh blah even though i haven’t even ask for anything yet. i know i’m wrong when i suddenly change the order or whatnots when he/she has already put it through the till so if he/she show muka tak boleh blah then, i totally understand. if you want good service, people, you gotta be a good customer as well ok? to be a good customer, these are the things you SHOULD NOT do :
(1) do not, i repeat, DO NOT, pretend like you’re the one doing the job. (even though you’re also working the same job elsewhere, but when you’re ordering, you’re the customer ok!) which means, don’t tell your friend this : “see, now she’s gonna pour it into the measurer and she’s not gonna fill it to the top and then she’s gonna squeeze the lime using her hands blablabla.” i’m not deaf. i’m not stupid. i can hear you dammit. whatever i’m doing, it’s cos am told to do so. and i didn’t get paid by you, so lemme do my job the way it’s supposed to be.
(2) if you’re not blind, take a look around. it is THAT busy and the person working only have two hands so don’t get so impatient and angry when he/she couldn’t serve you. just be patient cos eventually he/she would definitely serve you. it’s just a matter of time. if you don’t like waiting, go somewhere else that doesn’t require you waiting. (please tell me where, cos everywhere you go, you’d still have to wait.)
(3) MAKE UP YOUR MIND! if you’re at a bar/restaurant/cafe/any eating place, don’t order A at first and suddenly ask “can i change to B instead?” especially after he/she has put it through the till, cos you’re just gonna make his/her life more difficult with the kitchen people ok.
(4) if you’re not satisfied with the price or quality or whatever product the service is all about, don’t blame the people serving you. lemme tell you this again, they’re just doing their job according to instructions given. go complain at the customer’s feedback form or something.
(5) not ALL people working as bar staffs or waitresses or sales assistants are stupid and poor ok? so don’t give us that look like as if we’re wayyyyy below your level. most of us are doing it just to get EXTRA cash. we won’t starve to death without your money ok? some of us even do it just to pass time.
i can’t think of anymore right now. will continue part 2 if i can think of some more. the conclusion here is, i really hate this phrase as of right now. customers are not always right ok! sometimes i think they purposely do anything cos they know they are govern (eh not govern, but i can’t think of the word right now.) by that stupid statement. if you’ve never had any experience providing services to customers before, which means you’re always a customer, try putting yourself in these people’s shoes. they’ve got feelings too you know.

erm i don’t know how you guys end your sentences when sending smses to loved ones. or basically, just to anyone la. as for me, i always end em with “hugsss”. i don’t know why, i just like hugging i guess? haha. but i noticed people here, i don’t know if i should say everyone in great britain cos i don’t really have friends in other parts of uk, so let’s just say, the geordie (if you’re not familiar with this, i meant, people here in newcastle upon tyne, haha kan dah say the full name!) end their sentences with X or Xx. honestly if you ask me, i seriously don’t know what that means. short form for xoxo ka? i tried using it once (just to fit in la konon), but ended up with XXX and THAT definitely turned out looking sooooo wrong! haha.

i watch live boXing show last saturday. for free! eh wait it wasn’t exactly boxing, more to MMA. (actually i don’t really know what that abbreviation stands for, but i assumed it stands for Mix Martial Arts. feel free to correct me if am wrong!) you know like the ones we watched on tv, where the boxing ring is in the middle and everyone is sitting around the ring, cheering. or cursing. i don’t know why am telling this but i just think it’s kinda cool cos last time only can watch on tv and now i can actually watch it live. huhu. wanted to enjoy more of the show but unfortunately was too busy serving drinks haih and the supervisor keep on watching us to make sure we don’t forget to serve haih.

i don’t know when exactly is St. Patrick’s Day. all i know is am working for it tomorrow. owh wait i just googled it, it IS tomorrow. hehe. so, people, don’t forget to grab your pints of guiness tomorrow yar. if you’re in newcastle, i think there’s some sort of event going on at reds, so feel free to come and see me at work. haha. ok la, i have enough of these random ramblings already.

i’m lovin it
no, not mcd. cos obviously i’ve loved mcd since a long, long time ago.
am referrin to my job. despite the tiredness and sometimes impatient customers, am startin to love my job. cos not only do i get free paninis and coffee from time to time, i also get to learn how to make cocktails and shooters. (and the best part is i get to taste em as well!) i was at the coffee and cocktail training yesterday. and i managed to do a (perfect) cappucino, fruity delight and union jack shooter. yums. and i also get to try the other cocktails like erm habita (yums!), tequilla sunrise (don’t really like it!), cosmopolitan and the squashed frog shooter (yums lurve baileys!) no photos though cos i can’t upload em anyways. i mean i can la, but so menyusahkan ler since am still using the library pc. so yea, use your imagination. hehe.
now, who’s jealous of my job?

torn.
when i’m studyin, i can’t wait to work. but when i’m workin, i wish am still studyin. sigh. so mengada2 right? the reason for the lack of update of this blog is cause i’m currently havin my industrial training at erm lets call it Company H. no, it is NOT part of my degree requirement. nor did anyone force me into it. i applied for it on my OWN cause i was afraid i’ll be bored to death just sittin at home for the next 4 months, munching on fattening food and online and watch astro all day. another reason is, i’ll be done with uni in a year time, so i really should be building up a really good cv from now for better employment. righttt. i applied several companies actually and when i received the reply from this company saying i got accepted, i was damn excited cause it IS one of the biggest and famous company in the industry. in kuching. or maybe sarawak. err whatever la. but after the forth day, i’ve already regretted my decision for applying it in the first place. i have to wake up soooo early everyday and by the time i reach home in the evening, i have extremely limited time to do other things, such as updatin my blog. i’ll be so tired i just wanna lie down and relax. sigh. and everyday in the office, i’ll be checking the clock every hour to wait for 5.30pm! what’s worse…they work on saturday as well! even though for half day only, but still!! how sad is that? luckily i’ll be doin it for 2 months only. now it makes me rethink my plan whether to work first after am done with my degree or further masters right away? urgh. i have one more year to come up with a really, really wise decision…

my 30th may 2008
shiyt. wad happen to my header? why like chipsmore 1? sometimes you see it, sometimes you don’t. heh.
my interdisciplinary project week is finally over. am so glad. at 1st i thought it was gonna be a REALLY busy week (eg. working from morning til nite, no time for dinner/lunch, etc.) surprisingly, it was SO relax. we managed to do everything on time and even the presentation went well. unfortunately, we were 2 marks behind the group that came in 3rd. (but it doesn’t matter la, cos 3rd place also no hadiah. haha. sorry ks & speng! ) but, the whole thing was alright though, at least my teammates were really great.
since yesterday was also the last day of the semester, the uni held the annual FINAL FLING; supposedly the most-lookin-forward-to event of the year. the event was a whole-day event where basically people just come in to socialize and drink the whole day. so, at 1st, i wanted to go, but when i found out that the entry fee was 15pound, i totally lose interest. and then, i was asked to work for the night shift. my initial reaction : YAY! i got the tshirt AND see the whole thing for FREE. but after doing several mistakes on the till and gotten angry shots by drunk customers, i just wish i didn’t have to work last night. i really hate berlagak and drunk customers la. HATE!! if not because i have to potray “excellent customer service” and get my salary, i really wanna scold them back la. they think so easy ah work at the bar at such busy times? go try la! and that stupid biatch who jeling-ed me, hello, your own accent tak betul don’t blame me for the wrong order k? bleh. some more had to walk around all night become glass collector also. and the floor was so sticky i think i spoilt my workin shoes already. (sigh. need to get a new 1 la after i come back from msia.) now i know, earning money IS not easy. so, i shall not spend unnecessary anymore after this. (i hope!) and today, i can’t go anywhere cos my feet hurts. 
and i’m also suppose to start packing already. waaa hate packing!

the real thing
1 of the many reasons i love my job at nufc is cos it’s so damn easy. thr are only 2 types of beer for me to remember their names and i don’t have to prepare cocktails and all those other mix. and i only work for 4 hours. i mean i get paid for 4 hours la but i think i roughly work for maybe 1 hour only? and the pay is not that bad as well. that’s why i applied for the bar staff job in student union hopin that it would be slightly similar. i was wrong. the training just now totally freaked me out. first of all, the till sucks. (but that manager guy say that they’ll change to more maju tills startin sept.yay.) then, i had to differentiate between house and special premiums. it got worse when we went up to reds! so many different beers! and have to learn how to prepare cocktails some more! (but luckily they post up the recipe on the wall, so should be ok la i hope.) i was still trying to absorb all those info into my brain when we were brought down to bar 1 pulak. over there, we were taught how to prepare coffee and hot choc. erm seems pretty easy cos just have to push the button…but err the milk thingy still confuses me la. owh, and if we get the day shift we also have to prepare the paninis! but she told us it’s quite easy cos we just have to put inside that machine thingy. hmmm. everything pun she say easy leh. but i guess that’s exactly the real scope of work for bar staff lo. anyways, i’ll be startin my very FIRST shift tomorrow. (i don’t plan to start until after exams but since every1 else start this week, i don’t have a choice rite?) i wonder which bar will i be at. hmmm. i’m not complainin la cos i really need the job. (and the extra cash obviously. hehe.) so hopefully i’ll get the hang of it la. (and not waste too much beer cos i always seem to get em over the pints…woops!)

anyways, i plan to hide my lappy tomorrow (i hope i can la.) cos i really need to do some studyin before i go to work at nite. so, since in msia it’s already 16th of may anyway, i would like to wish my super gorgeous honey, miss MADELINE CHOO a HAPPY 22ND BDAY!
i hope you’ll have a blast and lets celebrate it again when i get my arse back in few weeks time aight honey? and tenkiu tenkiu so much for always temaning me chat everyday. love you lots honey. *hugz*
(p/s : eh mad i just realize the last time we celebrated your bday together was way back in erm that time you guys tgh f6 ah…at pizza hut and then karaoke remember? LOL.)

i just finished my construction management & procurement exam just now. i should be relieve right? at least one subject is over. but i still wanna complain! 2 hours is DEFINITELY not enough to answer FOUR damn questions k. during my diploma years, i remember how we used to complained that 3 hours is way too long for four questions. but now i WISH we’re given 3 hours! or at least 2 and a half hours ka. some more the questions so not straight forward. how do they expect us to read and understand the questions, find and think the right answers and finally write down ALL those farkin long answers?! *sobsob* i hate exams. i thought i was fully prepared after all those gazillion times of readin, but when the moment comes, i just can’t seem to answer. waaa don’t wanna be a student anymore la like this!
on a different note…i miss him. like crazy. out of a sudden. where are you?? heh.
i’m off to my bar staff training at student union now. at least, i can get my mind off all these frustrations for a while. sigh.
